A PICTURE OF PAUL WIEDEFELD, MTA NEW ADMINISTRATOR

Hundreds of thousands of times each day Maryland residents turn to the MTA for their transportation needs.  Riders trust us to provide safe, on-time service, and we take that responsibility seriously.

High quality public transportation is a priority for Governor Martin O'Malley and Transportation Secretary John Porcari, and they have offered me the opportunity to serve you as MTA Administrator.  I am a Baltimore native and have relied on the MTA all my life.  I know how important transit is for commuters, students, seniors and tourists, and my goal is to make the MTA a service that everyone benefits from.

Providing you the best possible customer service will be my highest priority.   We cannot promise that a bus will not ever break down or a train will not be delayed, but we can treat you with respect and courtesy and do everything in our power to keep you informed.  With all of us at the MTA working together, we can achieve our goal … a safe and reliable transit system that gets us where we need to go.  That is my promise, and I intend to keep it.

See you on board!

Paul J. Wiedefeld
