Smartbenefits Vouchers Replace Metrocheks
(Baltimore, MD), February 5, 2021 – The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is reminding customers that Smartbenefit vouchers have now replaced the MetroCheck vouchers. Smartbenefit vouchers are accepted at all staffed MARC, Amtrak, CSX, and Commuter Direct sales locations. The new vouchers are available in $1.00, $10.00, and $30.00 denominations. Customers can also use Smartbenefit vouchers on MTA commuter buses operated by Keller, Dillon, and Eyre bus companies.
MetroCheck vouchers will be accepted up until March 6, 2020 at local sales locations. After that time, MetroChecks can be exchanged for other transit passes at Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) Metro sales offices and through Commuter Direct through March 31, 2009.
Customers are advised that MARC tickets can be purchased electronically using the SmartTrip program through Commuter Direct. For more information visit their website at www.commuterdirect.com.
