CACAT Advises MTA on Important Issues
The Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Accessible Transportation (CACAT), is an advisory body (mandated by federal ADA requirements) that meets on the third Thursday of every month at 6 St. Paul Street in Baltimore. CACAT advises MTA about programs and services, both paratransit and fixed-route, affecting individuals with disabilities using MTA modes of transportation.
They are respected as an integral part of the ongoing service improvement process, serving on adjunct committees for training, focus groups, education representatives of support organizations of consumers, and are part of the solutions of accessibility. CACAT members gave valuable input on identifying additional locations for helpful new Mobility signage that was installed near State Center Metro Station and other areas where customers connect. The CACAT meets once a month on the 3rd Thursday. The committee does not meet during the month of August. The location for the meeting is at MTA, 6 St. Paul St. 5th Flr Conference Rm.
