Summary of Bus Service Modifications Effective Sunday, August 30, 2009

Effective August 30, 2009, MTA will implement route modifications to (26) Local Bus lines throughout the Baltimore Region.
New timetables will be issued for the following Local Bus lines: 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 24, 27, 29, 33, 35,
36, 44 48, 52 (previously M1), 53 (previously M2),57(previously M6), 59, 97, and 150.  
Schedules will be available online by Monday, August 10, 2009. 

The following are key changes to our bus service that go into effect on August 30, 2009:

3      Additional service to Cromwell Bridge during middays and Saturdays.

4      Selected trips will operate via Marshfield Business Park on Weekdays.

6      Midday service will be initiated between Edmondson Village and City Hall on weekdays.

7      Between 10 PM and 6AM, all trips will operate from Mondawmin to Linwood and Hudson.

8      Replace 8 Express service with 48 Quickbus.

14    Operate Sunday morning and late night downtown service via Russell Street,terminating at the University of Maryland Transit Center.

15    Operate service into White Marsh via Honeygo Boulevard (not Perry Hall Boulevard). Operate White Marsh Loop service clockwise
         to White Marsh Mall, rather than White Marsh Park & Ride.

17    Eliminate service to Airport 100 Business Park and SECU for schedule efficiency.

24    Extend service from Whispering Woods to Moravia loop via Eastern Avenue, North Point Blvd., and Armistead Gardens replacing part of 33 route.

33    Operate service from Rogers Avenue Metro Subway Station to Moravia loop only. Service east of Moravia will be provided by route 24.

35    White Marsh loop service will operate clockwise, and terminate at White Marsh Mall rather than at White Marsh Park & Ride.

36    AM Peak s/b service, and PM peak n/b service will now operate every 12 minutes instead of every 15 minutes.

48    New Quickbus service will operate between Towson and the University of Maryland Transit Center.

52    Selected daily additional trips northbound from Mondawmin to Liberty Heights and Northern Parkway between 1:00am and 4:30am.

59     Add service from Owings Mills Metro Subway Station to Red Land Court.

M17  Eliminate route. Service between Owings Mills Metro Subway Station and Red Land Court will be provided by route 59.

M Route Number changes – M1 to 52;  M2 to  53; and M6 to 57.
