MARC Train Lost & Found

MARC and Amtrak are NOT responsible for lost articles; however, we will make every effort
to help you retrieve your lost articles.

Where your lost article ends up depends on:

1. What rail line you are traveling?

It is important to check all MARC Lost & Found locations for your missing item as trains turn
throughout the day and an article may not be turned in until the end of the day, at the endpoint location.

2. What direction you are traveling?

For passengers who travel any line southbound, most lost articles end up at the MARC booth
or at Amtrak's Lost & Found office in Union Station.

3. What type of item is lost?

All lost MARC articles – EXCEPT tickets – will be turned into the Amtrak Lost & Found office
or the endpoint station location at the end of each day. All lost MARC tickets will be turned
in at the AMTRAK Lost & Found office, where they will be logged and kept until claimed.

4. What is done with the lost item?

Articles are tagged with a Lost & Found tag, given a description of the item, when it was
turned in and any other information that may be available. Articles not claimed after
60 days will be donated to charity.

5. Where the item is found and turned in?
