The Maryland Department of Transportation’s
MARC Train Riders Advisory Upcoming Meetings

The next MARC Riders Advisory Council meeting will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 4:30 p.m. in 
the Acela First Class Lounge Conference Room on the first floor of Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, 
N.E.
, Washington, DC

The Acela First Class Lounge is located between Gates D and E directly behind the information desk. 

 

The Council’s final meeting for 2009 will be on Thursday December 17.

 

All meetings begin at 4:30 p.m.

 

The MARC Council’s regular meetings are held on the third Thursday of January, March, May, July, September, 
and November.  In 2009, the Council will hold special meetings on the third Thursday of every other month.  Special 
meetings have the same general format as regular meetings; they only differ from regular meetings in that they are
not required under the Council’s By-Laws.

 

Maryland Rail Commuter (MARC) service consists of three lines covering 201 route miles, which operate in the 
Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area: the Penn Line from Perryville through Penn Station in Baltimore into 
Union Station, Washington, D.C.; the Camden Line from Camden Station, Baltimore, into Union Station; and the 
Brunswick Line from Martinsburg, W.V. through Point of Rocks and Rockville into Union Station.  MARC service 
is provided under private contract with Amtrak and CSX.
