Q. Why are so many escalators out of service?

A. There are two reasons why escalators are out of service; maintenance and emergency repairs.

Q. Why are the elevator push buttons so confusing?

A. We agree. The buttons are confusing and we are in the process of installing new, easier to understand, indicators.

Q. Why are the escalators reversed during the week?

A. The units are reversed to prevent the tracks from wearing in one direction.  By reversing the units daily, we ensure the equipment wears evenly and in doing so reduces possible outages.
